What Is Theo-Dur |
Theo-Dur is a medication that helps to prevent problems that might be caused from breathing or either prevents wheezing that might be caused from a lung disease such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. Theo-Dur is in a class of drugs called xanthines. When a patient is having problems breathing or either having a asthma attack they should not take Theo-Dur because the medication won't work right away and might take awhile before the patient starts seeing the full benefits of the medication. The doctor should give the patient an inhaler they can use for asthma attacks. Theo-Dur can be taken with food because there are some patients that might get an upset stomach if they do not take it with food. It should only be done no more then a couple times of day unless if the doctor tells the patient something else. A full glass of water should be taken with Theo-Dur. Side Effects Of Theo-Dur Include But Not Limited To: - headache When these side effects happen the doctor should be notified right away. If the symptoms do not change within a few days or weeks the doctor should also be notified. |
