Proventil is used for patients that have asthma because the airways become opened in the lungs. When this happens a patient can breathe a lot easier. Proventil is not only used for asthma but for bronchospasm because of the way it opens up the lungs. There are a few things that cause problems and interact with Proventil such as: - Medicines for colds. Side effects with Proventil include but not limited to: - Chest pain When patient’s experience these things and they do not go away within a few hours or by the next day the doctor should be notified. Proventil is taken by inhalation with the mouth. This medication should be used first before taking any other kind of medication. After taking this one the patient should wait at least five minutes before doing any other kind of inhaler. Often times only one or two puffs is needed per day but that might change depending on the patients condition. |
