What Is Maxair


Patients that have problems with breathing or asthma might be given Maxair to help with treatment because the patient will be able to breathe from the airways that open up when the patient takes this. Without using Maxair the lungs might become trapped and they might not be able to breathe the right away which could cause a lot of problems for the patient that has asthma.

Patients that might be pregnant, breast feeding, have thyroid problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, trying to become pregnant, or heart disease may not be able to take Maxair so the doctor should be notified when a patient has one of these conditions.

Maxair can be inhaled by the mouth. This medication should be done first before using any other kind of inhaler. If needing to use another inhaler the patient should wait for at least five minutes before they use another inhaler.

Side effects for Maxair include but not limited to:

- Blood pressure change
- Problems with breathing
- Vomiting
- Chest pain
- Fast heartbeat
- Anxiety
- Dry mouth
- Unusual taste
- Headache
