HOW DANGEROUS IS THE CARDIAC ASTHMA? |
Cardiac asthma is an asthmatic-type severe with the more or less same symptoms as that of asthma like shortening of breath, wheezing and coughing especially at night caused due to sudden and expected blockage of the blood circulation. In cardiac asthma the pumping efficiency of the heart decreases and it causes the back pressure from the left part of the heart towards lungs. As a result there is a sudden imbalance between the work load and work capacity in the left part of the heart. This causes heart failure leading to dangerous results and even death. The cardiac asthma develops the critical symptoms which makes a person restless. The person with cardiac asthma becomes uneasy all day long and leads a tensed life as he suffers with breathlessness, severe attacks of wheezing and coughing, chest pain, increased blood pressure, panting, feeling anxiety and uneasiness, and as discussed earlier leads to heart failure. The person is unable to take a proper sleep since the cardiac asthma attacks are prominent in the night time i.e. after few hours of sleep. Also the ankles swell which worsens throughout the day time. The person with cardiac asthma lives a life in problem as there is always a risk of heart failure and it is life threatening if not checked at the right time. |
