Asmanex Twisthaler is meant to be used regularly because it helps with wheezing and prevents shortness of breath with asthma patients. This type of medication works as part of the class of drugs known called corticosteroids. Breathing becomes easier with this medication because it works straight into the lungs and reduces swelling that takes place in the airways.

It does not work right away and patients should not use Asmanex Twisthaler for asthma attacks because it does not help the attack it just prevents things from happening that might trigger asthma attacks with some patients. When asthma attacks occur often times patients use an inhaler that the doctor prescribes.

Asmanex Twisthaler is a medication that requires the patient to inhale it by the mouth. Most times it is done only once during the evening unless if the doctor has said something else. Sometimes the patient might need two puffs but should wait two minutes before taking the next puff.

The patient should gargle plus rinse their mouth out after they have taken Asmanex Twisthaler or they might get dry mouth, oral yeast infections, or hoarseness if they do not rinse their mouth. The rinse solution with this should never be swallowed.
