Aerobid is used for a mixture of things. Not only does it treat asthma but it treats other medical problems such as allergies, and itching. The reason why is because if a patient is having problems with a swollen nose it can help to reduce that and make it easier for them to breathe which is another reason why it works for patients that might suffer with asthma.

The doctor should be notified when a patient has an infection, herpes, recent injury or surgery, allergic reaction to the medication of flunisolide, pregnant, or breast feeding because the doctor might have to either decrease the dosage for Aerobid or either look into other treatments.

Side effects for Aerobid include but not limited to:

- Infection
- Itching
- Skin rash
- Unusual Swelling
- Sores inside the mouth.
- White Patches
- Headache
- Cough
- Nosebleed
- Unusual taste

The doctor should be notified right away so proper medical advice can be given. Sometimes the treatment might need to be switched to another medication or either the dosage might need to be lowered. When taking this medication and relief does not happen within 24 hours the doctor should also be notified.
